Dark Symphony Album 2
Well Album 1 is now complete and we are now cleaning up, clearing out, and making room for Album 2. Dark Symphony Album 2 is being written, and scheduled for an August 2026 release date. Dark Symphony Album 1 was released on August 23 / 25, but since as new Artist on the scene, the process of publishing our music started on our release date. Long story short, 2 months later we are still filling out our Artist profiles as our vendors set us up in their digital stores. We also had to create this website as the digital stores create our profile. Some vendors are still setting us up. The 2nd Album release will be instant as our vendors and artist profiles will all be complete. So, if you are a new Artist in music, there is a first time process.
Writing music for Dark Symphony
This morning I woke up with the song, which I call, Sailboat Ride stuck in my head. I have no idea where this song came from. I'm not even thinking about sail boats or sailing in any way shape or form. But here I am, and I find myself singing this song. I have to consciously stop myself and try to read what I am actually singing, and write it down. I really don't have to worry as the song, with each instrument, voices, and the words that come with it, will never go away, at least until I process, develop, and record the music. The song will play over and over and over again in my head. As the music plays the song is written. It does not go away, even after years of ignoring it. So I embrace the music, low and behold, I can also play each instrument - really well, and own each instrument. Oh, I have a full service recording studio too. As soon as possible, I bring Donna into the new music, showing her the bass patterns the we are looking for, and a sample of the drum beat and the speed of the song. From there Donna takes the music and develops her version of the bass and drums. We back and forth until we are both satisfied with the outcome. Donna is good at finding the beat. All the music I write for Dark Symphony is done in this manner. Always has, and always will. This is our process as Artists in music. It is a really cool process that I cannot explain. Dark Symphony Album 2 line up
So, we are back, full time, in the studio, and our 1st song being produced is called "Life in Anger".
Life in Anger is a song about refusing to live in anger, and I really like it. The lyrics are done. Rhythm guitar, vocals, and bass are recorded leaving drums, keyboard, and lead guitar to perform (record) yet. Then we have to think of a good video to produce along with it.
So, as new artists, it is nice to see where we are, and to take a step away from the scene to see where we are going. Album 1 was a lot of work, and a pretty intense ride, but it was fun and it felt like something that we were suppose to do. For me, Album 1 is now behind us and Album 2 is in the writing. Album 1 was about going from the light into the darkness, while Album 2 is about coming out of the darkness and going into the light, and I like that. It feels right. Dark Symphony Album 2 will be a mix of bang on energetic and dam good slow. Looking forward to a good release in Aug. 2026. - Michael Golchuk Oct.25
