Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 1

Can't Tell Another Woman

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Can't Tell Another Woman

Can't Tell Another Woman was one of the 1st songs written in our collection. It was nice to take this song a develop it for the Album. When I write a song the initial instrument is usually solo on the guitar or keyboard. I love my drum set, and I love playing the drums. I also love playing lead guitar, and the Base adds a whole new dimension to the music. So when I say I get to develop the song, I mean I get to play all the instruments in the song as it gets written. I then pass the Bass and basic Drum patterns to Donna where she puts her own spin on the music, making it her own.

Can't Tell Another Woman is simply about finding love, and enjoying the life you build from that. I guess, simply put, once I find my lover, I don't need a 2nd to screw things up. If you are happy, then be happy, and above all, enjoy the journey.

Can't Tell Another Woman Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

Can’t tell another woman.
Can’t even tell another soul.
Hey baby, it’s on your mind.
Gotta run with it. Take control.
Take control.
Hey baby, travel along my way
and maybe, It'll make your day.
I love to see you
when I see you again. ah - ah
I love to love you
when you’re holding my hand. ah - ah
Way down the bottom of the hill
I stand with you now.

Tell me what you know.
Whisper in my ear, and tell me so.
There’s something you should know.

Everybody loves to love a lover,
and every lover loves to be loved true.
I want to wake up in the morning
with the sun in my eyes.
I want to brush off my wings
and I‘m gonna fly.

There’s nothing on TV.
So come and dance with me.
We’ll leave it all behind
for a new tomorrow.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 2

Freedom

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Freedom

I wrote the song "Freedom" a long time ago, memories from a previous bad relationship. Thing of it is, I no longer feel that way about life. I have a very loving relationship now and the song doesn't fit. At the time, I wanted to write a sad song, and I did. I could not sing this song for the longest time. Each time I would break down and cry. After singing it 200 or 300 times over, a person does become numb to the words. Even producing the video was a chore, always putting it on back burner. This was the last video done on the album. I am thankful that it is gone. Why did I produce it? Unfortunately, the song is a truth. I was once in a place like that. The music is good, and not all things are happy, and oddly enough, this music has healed my soul by making me cry. I no longer cry for this song, and I no longer need it as well, but maybe somebody does. This is, what I call, a dark symphony.

Freedom Lyrics

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

I tell you everything, You want your freedom.
Standing alone this way, dreams left in heaven.

Did you have such a long, long wait
You’re sitting here, and wishing I was gone.

You said you love me, that you need me
You would hold my hand on a summers eve
As you held me, so completely
You would warm my heart on a night,
on a night, on a winter’s night.

Every now and then, I’ll be thinking of you
and everything will be all right

Every now and then, I’ll be thinking of you
and everything will be all right

Because I love you so, and I want you to know
that everything will be all right

Because I love you so, and I want you to know
that everything will be all right

Every now and then, I’ll be thinking of you
and everything will be all right

Every now and then, I’ll be thinking of you
and everything will be all right

I tell you everything. You want your freedom
Standing alone this way. Dreams left in heaven

Did you have such a long, long wait.
You’re sitting here, and wishing I was gone.

You said you love me, that you need me.
You would hold my hand on a summers eve
and as you held me, so completely.
You would warm my heart on a night,
on a night, on a winter’s night.

I tell you everything, you want your freedom
today.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 3

Ocean Blue

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Ocean Blue

Ocean Blue is a nice "let's get away and do something else" type of song. If life seems to be going no where, then maybe it's time for a change. An adventure, going somewhere or trying something new.

Ocean Blue was filmed around the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia.

Ocean Blue Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

I have always loved you.
And I always will forever more.
I have stood beside you.
And I always will and that’s for sure.

Hey baby, I think I’m going no where.
Gotta talk about it, talk about with you
Yeah baby I think I’m going no where
If I talk about it, will you love me true,
still love me true

Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
That’s where you’ll find me.

Hey baby, I need a small vacation.
Time to get away and try something that’s new.
Yeah baby, It’s just a small vacation.
And maybe paradise is waiting there for you.
For me and you.

Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
That’s where you’ll find me.

Everything.
I got to tell you. It’s got everything.
I got to tell you. It has everything.
Yeah baby, It’s got everything.
But it’s nothing without you.

Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
Ooh, ooh, by the Ocean Blue.
That’s where you’ll find me.
That’s where you’ll find me.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 4

Moonglow

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Moonglow

Moonglow is one of my older songs which we took and developed into a 6 minute finger burn. Moonglow is one of my favorite songs just because it came together so well. I like the rhythm, the lead, voice, base and drums. This turned out to be a good song. Again, it's another sad song with a good beat, another dark symphony.

Moonglow Lyrics

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

I have always wondered, and I still wonder.
How is life in Paradise? Hey babe, your hair’s alright.
Dance with me tonight.

I threw it all away. Threw it all away.
I threw it all away. Threw it all away.

I've given it everything. Nothing left to give again.
I've thought about all those things for ever.
Hey babe, your hair’s all right.
Dance with me tonight.

The moon may light the cold dark night.
Vision blurred, the scenes disturbed.
A river flows beneath my feet.
As splashing tears and water meet.
Heart is heavy. Made of clay.
Feeling hurt from things you say.
For this river beneath my feet.
See the past reflect so sweet.
For Love. Love.

If you take my heart away.
I will still love you.
If you break my heart today.
I will I still love you.
Funny how the time just passes by.
So this river flows these tears of mine.
These tears of mine.

Loving you.
It's the only thing I ever wanted to.
And loving you.
Seems to be the only thing I'll never do.
Funny how the time just passes by.
So this river flows these tears of mine.
These tears of mine.

I have always wondered.
And I still wonder.
How is life in Paradise.
Hey babe, Your hair’s alright.
Dance with me tonight.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 5

Light On Everything

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Light On Everything

Light On Everything was originally a happy song, but I found it unrealistic. So, I added the middle verse, which I like, but my wife isn't too crazy about it. Still, it's a good song, nice and fast. It sends the message that I want to send.

Light On Everything Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

I sit and watch the world go by today.
Is there something wrong with me.
I take one step and give you everything.
Shine a little light on me.
I want my heart to be with you today.
Shine a little light on me.
Hey baby, shine a little light on everything.
Breathe a little life in me.
Hey baby, shine a little light on everything.
Breathe a little life in me .

Hey baby, watch the world go by today.
Shine a little light on me.
And maybe fill the world with love today.
Shine a little light on me.
Hey baby shine a little light on everything.
Breathe a little life in me.
Hey baby shine a little light on everything.
Breathe a little life in me.

I understand, more than ever.
I seem to be, lost in heaven.
And if you thought you’d save me.
I understand, none was given to me.
There was no sunshine, for me.
There was no loving.

I say I want to know,
I want to know, I want to know.
Which way the river flows,
And which way my heart should go.

I like the way you light my world today.
Shine a little light on me.
I love the way you chase the blues away.
Shine a little light on me.
Hey baby shine a little light on everything.
Breathe a little life in me.
Hey baby shine a little light on everything.
Shine a little light on me.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 6

Lost In Heaven

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Lost In Heaven

Every band needs a slow dance song, and this is ours. Just a nice song to sway to with your partner. Slow dance. I wrote this song because I have enjoyed the journey with my lovely wife, Donna. Something to remember as time passes.

Lost In Heaven Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

Making love in the Afternoon.
You come on over.
Hold me tight as I dance with you.
My heart’s in time with you.

Lost in heaven with you.
With you.

Take a walk by the ocean breeze.
Your on my shoulder.
As the wind blows through the trees,
My heart and soul’s with you.

Lost in heaven with you.
With you.

I held your hand tonight.
Your sitting closer.
And this would be the night,
I fell in love with you.

Lost in heaven with you.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 7

Hero

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Hero

Hero is song about getting it together, going out, and doing it. Whatever it may be. And having a great time doing so in the process. Doing something that you don't usually do, something that YOU are inspired to do. A hero, or maybe just going out and enjoying a concert, and having a good time.

Hero Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

If only you could see me now.
If only you could see me now.
The world can surely use another hero.
The world can surely use another hero.

Hey now baby, getting ready to go.
I’m all dressed up. Gonna rock and roll.
I’m looking for some entertainment.
My own little bottle of glow.
I’m looking for some inspiration.
I’m looking to enjoy the show.

Hey now baby can you feel the beat.
Can’t help myself, gotta move my feet.

If only you could see me now.
If only you could see me now.

The world can surely use another hero.
The world can surely use another hero.

Hey now baby, do you like to dance?
I’m looking for some entertainment.
My own little bottle of glow.
I’m looking for some inspiration.
I’m looking to enjoy the show.

If only you could see me now.
If only you could see me now.
The world can surely use another hero.
The world can surely use another hero.
Hey now baby would you like to dance.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 8

Ain't No Peace Here

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Ain't No Peace Here

This is a sad song. A song worthy of the name Dark Symphony. One day, I just started singing a song in the back of my mind. As the days past, I would catch myself singing this song, and when I did I would try to write down or remember the words. The music comes to me. I don't sit down and say that I'm going to write a song today. The music just appears, and I develop it. I am always pleasantly surprised at how a song turns out when finished.

The words "Ain't No Peace Here" are not in the lyrics for this song. I like this song. It has its place. It is also a dark symphony.

Ain't No Peace Here Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

I’m sitting here in a burned out pit.
Waiting for the guns and the bombs to hit.
And all I can do is think of you.
Kiss your lips, send the kids to school.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.

Went out on patrol last night.
Found ourselves a horrible sight.
Found a young lad in a shallow grave.
In the yard where he use to play.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.

I’m sitting here in a burned out pit.
Waiting for the guns and the bombs to hit.
And all I can do is think of you.
Kiss your lips, send the kids to school.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.

Went out on patrol today.
Found our neighbors bound and gagged.
Shot in the back for no reason why.
I don’t know why, they had to die.

I’m sitting here in a burned out pit.
Waiting for the guns and the bombs to hit.
And all I can do is think of you.
Kiss your lips, send the kids to school.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.

Hey my babe it’s been four long years.
So much pain, too many tears.
Then one day it occurred to me.
I’m not the same as I use to be.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.
Kiss the kids good night for me.

I’m sitting here in a burned out pit.
Waiting for the guns and the bombs to hit.
And all I can do is think of you.
Kiss your lips, send the kids to school.
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya.

Baby, baby, 1 2 3,
Baby please come home to me.
Baby, baby, you and me,
meet you by the Apple tree.
Baby, baby, you and me,
meet you by the Apple tree.
Baby, baby.

Dark Symphony - Album 1 - Song 9

Erasing Things I Know

Written by Michael Golchuk, Performed by Donna Golchuk and Michael Golchuk. Produced by Golchuk Productions Inc.

Erasing Things I Know

The last song on the Album. Erasing Things I Know is about the experience of life, and decisions made. A good song to end the show. A Dark Symphony. We hope you enjoyed the show.

Erasing Things I Know Lyrics.

Words & music by Michael Golchuk

What's it gonna be today?
What's it gonna be today?
Anything you ought to know.
Everything is here for show.
What's it gonna be today?

Going to a Blue Moon party.
Everyone will be there Baby!
Going to a Blue Moon party.
Nothing else is gonna save me.

Can you really see me?
Can you really see me?
Can you really see me?
Cause here I go.
Erasing things I know.

Give another reason.
Give another reason.
Give another reason.
To let it go.
All these things I know.
Erasing things I know.

Who am I now?
Which way to go?
Don't want to throw my life away.
I step forward show.
Three steps back you know.
And that's the way that these things go.
On with the show.

Can you really see me?
Can you really see me?
Can you really see me?
Cause here I go.
Erasing things I know.

Give another reason.
Give another reason.
Give another reason.
To let it go.
All these things I know.
Erasing things I know.
